A Whimsical Frog Prince Retelling Families Will Love For Years to Come

Updated: Oct 4, 2021

An Exciting Announcement!

The time has finally come! After a year and a half of blood, sweat, and tears Princess Gabriella and the Never-Ending Kiss will be available one week from today! For a limited time only it will be available for just $0.99 compared to the retail price of $9.99!

I'm so happy to finally share all my hard work with you! The hype has been extreme the last few weeks as I have been promoting on other sites. ARC readers seem to be loving the story along with their families.

A children's book is not what I imagined when I first dreamt about being published oh so many years ago.

Instead, I often write short scary stories mostly based on true events involving my life. If you are interested in reading some recent short stories you can them here:

Even though the stories listed above are based on a random generator, I experienced enough weird situations during college, on top of living in a haunted house as a child, to write hundreds of stories.

So, I sort of figured I would publish a collection of short stories before anything else.

BUT! It's quite the opposite. I've written a story pertaining to my love of fairytales, animals, castles, and medieval times all in one. I couldn't be happier!

This doesn't mean I'm going to give up on scary stories though :)

Enough about me and more about Princess Gabriella and the Never-Ending Kiss!

I thought it would be fun since there is only one week left to throw out some fun facts about the story and self-publishing. So here they are!

  1. Princess Gabriella is named after a character from High School Musical(the original of course!). I was obsessed with the series throughout high school. I used to watch the original, the sing-along, and dance-along versions back to back in one night!

  2. The illustration process took over 10 months from start to finish. This includes looking for an illustrator to receiving the last illustration. I won't get to much more into it since I have spoken about this subject in several other posts. But it was a long process!

  3. There are two endings to the story. The original and then the newer version. Last January, I decided to change the ending as the original was too cliche. People seem to be loving the new twist ending!

  4. About 90% of what I learned about self-publishing came from Pinterest. After deciding to go with self-publishing versus the more traditional route I spent a month reading as much as possible on the topic. Still to this day, I probably read at least two to three hours worth of content per week. You can never get too much information and those bloggers really know what they're talking about!

  5. Self-publishing is a full time job! On the weekends, I usually spend 8-16 hours a day working behind the scenes. During the week, it can be anywhere from 1-4 hours a night. It's totally worth it in the end!

Bonus fact: I'm currently working towards the book getting printed. It's a much longer/harder process but it's in the works!!!

I love bonus facts so I had to add one in:)

**Update Oct 4th 2021** Available in hard copy at Blurb.com.

If this is your first time to the blog, and you're uncertain about the story, here's the book blurb for you to check out with another fun fact at the end!

“Happily ever after” is a journey...

When Princess Gabriella hears her true prince calling to her from outside the castle walls, she sets off to find her happily ever after with a simple kiss.

But when an unfortunate event leaves her unimpressed by the first prince she attempts to kiss, Princess Gabriella decides to travel the kingdom in search of other suitors. Mishap after comical mishap with each new prince leaves Princess Gabriella wondering if the never-ending quest for a kiss will bring her her true prince. Will Princess Gabriella EVER find the right prince to kiss? Or has her Prince Charming been right underneath her nose all along? In this delightfully funny take on the classic Frog Prince fairy tale, a determined princess discovers happy endings are trickier to come by than we are led to believe!

Princess Gabriella and the Never- Ending Kiss is only the first of three in the series. Scroll down to sign up for the mailing list to get the latest updates before anyone else.

Please check out Princess Gabriella and the Never-Ending Kiss available on Amazon, February 9th. Leave a comment below telling me your thoughts on the story and any fun facts you might have related to writing!
