Celebrating the 1 Year Release of 45 Writing Prompts for Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Writers
365 Days Later
A year ago, I decided to release my very own low content book featuring writing prompts to help people with writer's block.
It was a bigger feat than I'd originally planned after deciding to do everything myself from start to finish. Months of constructing the perfect prompts on top of designing and formatting, something I'd never done before, I was finally able to release my second self-published book 45 Writing Prompts for Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Writers. It was almost more thrilling than releasing my first book when I received the physical copy!
Somehow, it's a whole 365 days later, and it feels like only yesterday I was sitting in City Brew drinking a chai tea wondering where to even start.
Over the last year, it seems people have been enjoying the prompts and writing some fantastic stories. So far, it has all 5-star reviews on amazon, an author's dream!
We've also had a reoccurring guest, Massiel Zaragoza, take on one of the intermediate prompts with her story, The Island Getaway.
We had two ghost writers go head-to-head to see who could write the better story using the same prompt.
And of course, I had to write some stories myself including one of my favorite short stories to date.
Self-publishing has been a wild ride and over the next several months I have set time aside to work on some great story concepts.
I also have to give a quick shout out to my first children's book, Princess Gabriella and the Never-Ending Kiss. It just passed its second anniversary.
If you haven't already, go check out 45 Writing Prompts for Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Writers. It's currently on sale for only $5.50! Tell me which prompt you'll be using to write your next story!
